Joining forces again with a new collaborative concept, Dercum Center's Artistic Director and Violinist Chas Wetherbee with the Carpe Diem String Quartet, and Summit Music and Arts Artistic Director and Artist in Residence Len Rhodes will perform together as a piano quintet in a concert that will appeal to a variety of musical tastes. The program will include String Quartet in G Minor, Op. 27 by Edvard Grieg and Fiddle Suite Montana by Korine Fujiwara performed by Carpe Diem String Quartet; and two piano quintet arrangements by Len Rhodes - a medley from The Beatles ‘The Magical Mystery Tour’; and the world premiere performance of Rhodes' new arrangement of Jimmy Webb's 'MacArthur Park' - made famous by Richard Harris and Donna Summer among others. Rhodes' arrangement was recently granted copyright and distribution rights by Universal-Polygram International Publishing Inc. through Hal Leonard Corporation.
